Default Looking to buy new AT tires

I have been looking to buy new tires for my 2002 Ranger 4x4 with 16" tires. It seems many of the 245/75/16 tires that I like are load range E. I like the BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO 2s. Are these really stiff riding on a truck like the Ranger when they are 10 ply tires? If anyone has any experience or opinions on what tires they like on a stock Ranger I would like to hear them.

They suck in mud and rain.

Check out Duratracs. King of A/T's

Cooper AT3 is another good choice

I have the Duratracs on my 2013 JK. I went 33x12.5.15. Love the tire - much better for my use than the stock BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires that came on my old 2010 Rubicon. Everyone on my Jeep forum raved about them so I gave em a shot. Been almost a year and I still cant complain.

I've had the original BFG A/T's on my truck almost as long as I've owned it, and plan on buying another set soon, they are a great tire. great tread life (i'm at 40k miles and that's with irregular rotations & a period with a worn front suspension, aiming for 50k miles on the next set), great in the snow (deep unplowed snow, even when they are getting worn out), decent on the street ( even PA's crappy roads) and great off road (I've never been stuck with 'em). only place I can't rate would be a deep mud hole.... I've been on some sloppy trails with no problems but deep mud I've never screwed around with....

if the AT/2's are half as good as the original A/T's I would say they are worth buying!

I loved mine, they were tires that weren't too loud on the road, they were good in the snow and for all the off-roading I did, no complaints, I put over 60000 Kms on them before switching out to try the Falken wildpeak, still wish I had of spent the extra 400 on the k02 in a 33 instead of 32s

I had duratracks, i blew through them... I am now running
Mastercraft Courser CT, Like them allot.

All 3 of the vehicles in my drive way, plus the 2 trailers, and the 7 vehicles at work run MasterCraft, I like the price point, and how they hold up.

If you are looking for something a bit less aggressive I got my wife Mastercraft Courser AXT for her Tribute.

Holding up well, and great in the snow, rain etc. No offroad for the tribute though

I have Cooper Discoverer AT3s on my truck, and I have no complaints after about 40k miles.

Just don't buy cheap tires

rotate every 3k
Keep proper inflation
get a C rated tire

and any tire you get will last and be fine.

Actually, Goodyear Wrangler Authorities 245/75/16 LT Load ranger E ride good. They do amazingly well in snow, sand, dirt, mud & rain. They are wonderful tires! They look brand new and have about 10k on then

Didn't think of that just don't get a stiff tire for a small truck.
