if you are going to try bigger tires like I did I catch the fender flares already wider rims will only make that worse

I'm going to try SPORT TRAC #1 t-bars, But 1st i want to do 8" wheels with my 265s they only have 10 k on them

in the rear you can try stacking explorer and your ranger leafs I am going to hit a junk yard and try it out tomorrow hopefully its enough I can ditch my stock blocks

Be careful doing that. You can get them too stiff.

If you want to get rid of your stock blocks, why not run the BellTech 6400 drop shackle for a 1500 Chevy pickup? It will give you 2" of lift, so you could remove your stock block and not have to worry about getting your springs too stiff.

Shackles are still a bad way to lift a vehicle....also on trs there are people who have stacked the explorer leafs

Um, shackles are probably the best way to lift the rear of a Ranger. Can you explain why you think they are bad? I ran the BellTech 6400's on my Bronco II with Explorer leafs and had this kind of flex without any problem at all.

I was always told keys, blocks and shackles were not a real lift since all they do is adjust the original suspension. By doing so you overdo what the suspension was designed to do. If that's not the case with shackles than please fix my view, but with shackles don't you change the angle on the rear end more than you would with just lifting it with a new leaf pack or even blocks?

The shackles do change the pinion angle a slight bit, but they have to. Any time you put any amount of lift of a rear axle, you need to rotate the pinion angle slightly to keep the geometry in tact. Even complete lift springs rotate the pinion angle.

Blocks are a bad way to lift because they increase axle wrap.

Even people with leaf sprun front axles use shackles to lift.
