Goodyear Wrangler RT/S spinouts in rain
Just bought this truck. Love it !!! Do not love the tires. 255-70-16
Even slow starts produce spinning in the rain & in 2WD mode. I have had pickups before & know they are lite in the rear end, but I have never had spinning like this before. Have you folks had similar problems with these tires?? My favorite tires are Les Schwab SXT A/T. had them on my Jeep w/o problem. This is my first post here.
thanks.......Terrible

Re: Goodyear Wrangler RT/S spinouts in rain
the R/T's suck. but my Goodyear silent armours work great. had them since 2005 and the tread is hardly worn.

Those stock tires aren't worth the landfill space they take up when you get rid of them. You think they're bad in the rain, wait till you try snow!

Get rid of them as soon as possible! Just like someone else stated, wait til the snow, you will really hate them then. My suggestion would be to save up some cash and get something else. Any AW tire is better than those pieces of crap.

don't you have traction control? I have worse tires than yours (not even LTs), and they handle great in heavy rain.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler RT/S spinouts in rain
RT/S are probably the best tires ever made. If they made 35"'s then that is what I would have

Re: Goodyear Wrangler RT/S spinouts in rain
the biggest downfall of those tires is the closed thread at the sidewall, it does not let the water escape the tire fast enough

RT/S's suck ass. That's why I roasted mine while they were on the truck.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler RT/S spinouts in rain
yeah they suck, could lay dual skids by powerbrakeing with a blad tire on pass and the rt/s on the driverside and i have a 3.slow with an open diff with 3.73 gears
