1994 2wd 3.0 - Biggest Tire You can fit on 15x7/15x8 rims - stock height
Sorry if I haven't found the post in the many forums that there are on here but I was just wondering how big of a tire I could fit on a 15x7 or 15x8 rim on my 1994 2WD. I have the stock 14x7 with 225/55 or 225/65 Mastercraft Avenger G/T's (I'm in class so I can't check the size of the tire to be exact) but I'm going to be getting some 15's soon and just wanted some information on it.

I've seen people put 35's on a 3.0 2wd ranger but I wouldn't recommend it. You can do 33's though.

He mentionned stock height. I know the later model 2wds stock height fit 31s, do a bit of research and check if the older Rangers do too.

On a 94 I think the biggest you can go is 30's on 15x8's with 3.25" backspacing. Now pay attention to the teacher.

235/75/15 or 30x9.5x15. 31's may fit, but you will probably have rubbing issues.

15x10 way to wide for stock height. I have a 97 mazda b2300. With 15x8.5 and 31x10.50 Cooper discover at3. I had no rub issues at all! At stock height. Now I have a 4 inch rough country lift and am going to 32x11.50. 31s will fit fine. You may get some run depending on how soft your coils are in the front.
