Default 32s on 3.55 gears

Anyone running this setup? Should I upgrade gears or will this be okay? Loss of power? Worse gas mileage? Odometer and speedo affect?

Thanks in advance. Still pretty new to all this.

31's is the max I'd run with those gears. My friend has a grand cherokee with 3.55's and 31's and he won't go any bigger

Simplicity would be full axle. Unless you know someone that knows how to set pinion up don't do it yourself if you don't know how to.

31s it is, don't have the money for an axle swap right now.... Tires failed inspection so can't wait on those.

Default Re: 32s on 3.55 gears

I ran 32s with 3.55s for a little while. The truck definitely was slower off the line, but I managed. It wasn't unbearable, I just knew I wouldn't win any races. After a while you get used to it.

I would not run that setup forever though, so if you plan on getting 32s I would save for regearing.

To answer your question about gas mileage... Your highway MPGs will increase, and your city MPGs will decrease. So the net result depends on your driving habits/styles.

I had 31s with 3.73 and it wasn't to bad. I swapped to 4.10 because I knew I was going bigger in the end and I do pull trailers. I'm wanting to go to 33x12.50 but I think my next tires are gonna be 32x11.50 bfg cause of money. I'm gonna be driving my f350 for a while as a daily and eventually when the gfs truck starts getting paid off gonna look for a new f150. It depends on the motor also. I have a 2.3 so it struggles either way. But if you tow or need low end a taller gear and smaller tire diameter will help you with that.
