Default New tires and body lift or new tires

I need new tires and it will run about $500. A friend of mine gave me a idea of getting a 3" body lift so I could fit 33" tires that he's selling for dirt cheap. My question is how how much would it be for the body lift with installment would it work and which is cheaper?

To have a body lift professionally installed will run $700-$1200 in addition to the kit (Depending on location and type of shop installing). It's pure labor.

95% of guys install their own kit. It's not hard, but takes time.

Yep - Most shops will charge 10ish hours to toss one on.

Shop labor rates aren't cheap.
