Hey,

My 08 Ranger Sport 4x4 came with 16x7 rims stock and I'm looking at getting a set of 15x8 aftermarket Procomp 7069 wheels. Just wondering if anybody else has done this and if there is any issue with 15" rims fitting over my front calipers?

sure aint! I went form a 16" 5 spoke fx4/edge wheel to a 15" Alcoa

16's are standard issue on 08 Sport 4x4's so I'm curious if my calipers are any larger than a 2wd Sport for example which come stock with 15's

The clearance from the calipers for the 12" rotors to 15" wheels is very tight. Since most aftermarket wheels have less backspacing than factory, they usually clear easily. My guess is that the ProComps will clear.

There are a few 15's that will hit though including some stock Ford aluminum wheels with 4.5" BS. FX4 Alcoas are the exception and were fitted with the 12" brakes at the factory. It all depends on the shape of the backside of the wheel and the backspacing.

Since 2003.5, 4x4 rotors are larger (12") than 4x2 rotors (11.28") and that pushes the calipers out accordingly.
