Default 33's for cheap??? websites?

Ok I know what the title says is pretty impossible but does anyone have a site or know of any dealers that ship? I have been looking all over the forums and websites for tires and just cant find any 33's for less then about 750-800$. Anyone have any secret ways to get 33's for cheaper. truck will fit them no problem so that's not a issue and gearing is fine as well. Trying to throw them on the stock 16x7 wheels. New 16x8 wheels will come in the next few months, so a tire wide enough to fit both is what I need. I am also not really concerned about brand either. Just a A/T 33".

Remember you get what you pay for. If you want cheap your best bet is to buy used

If you're spending that kind of money I sure as hell hope you're concerned with what brand and tire.... Do some research and find what tread and wear pattern is for you. There are A LOT of options for a/ts...

Tons of websites ship btw. But check out 4wd.com. Well priced and most ship for free. 4wheelparts.com also has great prices but charges shipping unless you pick them up in a store (dunno if there is one near you)

As far as people magically posting links to "secret" deals, you gotta pick a tire first. And you're wanting a 33, and its going on a 7" wide rim? You'll be streatching to get a 12.50 on that rim big time, 10.50 is an option, but less people make that width. I just ordered a set of 33x10.50r15's from 4 Wheel Parts for my stock rims (15x7).

You need to decide if you want a 10.50 or 12.50. You can get duratracs on 4wd.com shipped for $750. That's closest to your best deal but will have a hard time fitting on your 7" wide rim

Edit: Didn't notice your stock rim is 16. Good luck finding a good 33 a/t for that.

----------

Instead of buying the tire as a "33" for your rim size, what you need to be looking at is 305 70 16. This is closest your going to get.

Observe: http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Tires-Jeep-T...re+Width_PQ=70

FYI: staying under the $800 mark isn't going to happen on 16s.

MY ADVICE: Save your money, buy the new rims in a 15" and get whatever kind of tire you want for it. You will save so much on the tires alone if you do it that way. Let alone the rims probably being cheaper...

Alright I'm done.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Now doesn't it make sense for a 33in tire for a 16in wheel to be cheaper then a 15. Just solely for the fact it's less rubber. But oddly enough that's not the case.

And I would love to drop down to 15s but then it makes it me worry about my rear disc conversion. I am doing the cobra brakes on the rear. I have read that depending on the rim you can't fit the brakes.

I have looked at tires and I really like the general grabber at2. Like the reviews. And they should last a long time.

Valid concern about the brakes. Sounds like you got an idea. Just gotta take the hard hit to the wallet for some times. They sure aren't cheap so make sure it's what you are going to be happy with

I like the wildpeaks and bfg but having driven the general grabbers before on my buddies 1500 ram I personally think those tires are badass.

Guess my entire next paycheck is going to tires lol. Or maybe just buy 2 and then next paycheck the other 2 so I can afford to live still.

A ton... I picked the tires up from a 4 Wheel Parts store here in Orlando for $826 (after tax and everything). I had them mounted and balanced at a buddies place.

Dang went with the mud terrains too

One thing I don't understand is why people always go with either 10.5 or 12.5 wide tires. I am going to go with 11.5 or really about 11.22. Trying to go with 285x75r16 which equates to I think 32.6x11.22
so really not even true 33's but better on the bank and still larger then stock.

I did go with the mud terrains!

I went with the 10.50 for a few reasons. I had a 32x11.50 and wanted to go to a larger (higher) tire. So I went to a 33. I can't fit a 12.5 on my rim and they don't make a 11.5 in a 33" tire. Being the 15" rim they don't make many metric sizes, TONS of standard inch sizes. But in a 33" they dont make anything besides a 10.5 or 12.5. With a 16 inch rim you're right, you can get close to a 33x11.50! Lucky lucky lol. But it's expensive!

I took it out this evening for just a little wheeling and they're awesome.. They dug so well and clean out very easily.
