265s, Will I regret it??

I have decided on the mb 72 wheels and bfg t/a ko tires, which i will be getting in the next couple days. I dont want to crank torsion bars, so im thinking 265/75 is the safe choice. I just dont wanna regret not going with 285/75s, my 07 sport 4x4 is stock and dont want it to rub. I do not offroad, but ya never know. I also could go 15" rims with 32's, so many choices and my brain is fried on the subject, any thoughts? Again I dont want to crank torsion bars. I wish discount tire would mount one of each for me to see. By the way I have read every thread and post on the subject in every forum, weeks of reading and I am still not sure. Thanks guys

if you dont wanna crank i wouldn't get the 285/75s

i would go with the 32s on 15s if i were you

Thanks man, i love your truck by the way. Can you tell me why you would go 32's on 15s instead of 265s on 16s? Is it price of 16" tires? I am really suprised you would say that since you have 17" rims, lol. I thought 32s being 11.5" wide would have more of a chance of rubbing. Cant wait to see what others have to say as well. I was hoping to get them today but I want to be sure so i dont have any regrets.

I officially dont like you< ive been wanting the MB 72 wheels soooo bad! Just get the 15x8 Wheel and 32x11.50s. It will look sick!! I think your truck would look good with the Black MB 72 wheel with the polished lip as you have a black truck!

lol, thx dixie, love your truck too, very clean and classy. I didnt really care for black wheels on black trucks, no contrast, but those wheels are sweet. I wish discount tire stocked them so i could see it next to my truck but they have to order the 72's. They were trying hard to sell me the razors since they had em in stock, but not my style. Keep the advice coming, why does everyone say to downsize to 15" rims?? more rubbber?? Will 32s rub without cranking t bars? Thanks guys, i love this ranger stuff, lol.

From the looks of it, i think 32s will be fine! I went form a 16" to a 15" when I got my Alcoas and dont regret it one bit. Tires are much cheaper and easier to find! I know i still have room for 32s on my uncrunk 06' 4x4. I cuurrently have 31s on 15x7 wheels.

well you know my vote! 32x11.50 on 15x8 MB 72 FTW!

If those are 16", they must be 285/75s then, right? So, what would be the tighter fit, 32's on 15s or 285/75s on 16s?? I understand the 285 is taller, and the 32 is wider but I dont really know what causes the rub, height or width.

i said 32 on 15 because i dont know what a 265 on 16 is... i say 15 over 16 because you get more options and more rubber and 15-16 isn't much of a difference. and thanks for the compliment. to sum it up i think 32x11.5 on 15" wheels is what you should do!

That's because tires for 15" rims are much cheaper than for 16" rims.

I like those wheels, just make sure you get them in -19mm offset. They'll look good, but don't ask how I know, lol

What does a cheap set of 15" rims cost. I've got to put new tires on my ranger and the 31 10.5 are alot cheaper than the 265's.....
