Default Good tire

I'm looking to replace my tires soon. I've done a little research and most of the threads are dealing with going bigger.

I have 225/70R14s on it right now and I'm not looking to change that. I'm more interested in getting a good general purpose tire that will perform decently on a RWD truck.

What are your experiences on what works well?

your a little limited on your choices due to the 14" wheel. I'd say go with a bfg radial tire. Hard to go wrong with bfg.

the 3 other tires listed for that size on tirerack are all firestone: the firehawk indy 500, destination L/E and destination A/T

I saw all of those and I'm leaning towards the Destination ATs but I want some real world experiences first since there weren't many reviews on 4X2 Rangers with them or the other makes.

I had Cooper Discoverer ATRs on my last CR-V and wet and snow traction were wanting while the drive shaft was dropped (u-joint work). Since the Ranger is only RWD I need to take advatage of all the traction I can get.

a co-worker of mine runs the destination AT's on his 2wd ranger and he swears by them. its his dd all year round and does great in the winter with those tires. a couple other guys at work also run those tires on there fullsize rigs and they all love them. thats what i will be putting on my F-150 when i replace the tires.
