i have a 01 ranger xl and it has some fairly descent rust on the rear panels. i was thinking about cutting the rust out and welding another piece of metal on. (i didnt know if i could bend the metal to make it look right so i was going to keep it flat) and then put 2.5 fender flares on. would this look right? is it a good idea or a waste of time? any comments would help. thanks!
