Question What did I break?!
So I got into a minor car accident yesterday with a Mini Cooper, and I broke something I can't identify!! Can someone help me identify it!?

It looks to be something pure metal and its snapped clean in two.

The way it hit looks like it hit it pushed the whole tire in snapped the spindle and I can't quite tell but might have bent a few other things

It's a spindle, there could be more damage but pics don't show enough to tell. I'd be looking where both the UCA and the LCA bolt to the vehicle as well as the arms themselves knowing that they like to bend. Any reputable bodyshop would automatically just replace both inexpensive control arms in the name of safety and to avoid disappointment on the front end rack. After all, look at and think about what happened to the cast iron spindle attached to them..............

yea you got some serious suspension damage there...knuckle is snapped and im sure other stuff is bent or broken too

Looking at the pic again, I'm suspicious that the half shaft got stuffed real hard into the front axle, thus damaging the half shaft/cv joints (or at minimum, compromising it's reliability) and if the front axle assembly has some hidden internal damage. Have you looked at the frame horns to see if they're pushed over to the left?
