go 31s max 32s will be like a slug. 31s will probably be the same. I felt a difference going from 30s to 32s with my 4.0

no problem. I would definitely regear either way. go at least 4.10s but 4.56 would be better

If you drive a lot of 55mph plus 4.56s will really kill your milage, but thats the least of your worries.

Sorry i forgot you are 4 cyl. 4.56 might not be too bad, but hopefully someone else can chime in.

I ran 31s on 3.73 with my 2.3 auto for a long time. It was deff a slug. Off the line it was slow. I could cruise on highway at 70 in overdrive at about 1,500rpm. I upgraded my rearend to 4.10 and it's a noticeable difference off the line and driving. Around town doing 55 it cruises at 2k instead of the 1100 like it did. I'm gonna be lifting soon and running 33s with 4.10. I do drive highway a fair amount so won't be going to 4.56 or anything like that. You'll be fine with the 3.73. But the 4.10 will help. I have noticed that I do get worse gas milage with the 4.10 verse the 3.73 but that is around city. And I havnt calculated it exactly. But can tell the fuel guage drops faster lol.

I'm assuming that I'm getting around 14mpg city. I did the math a while ago. And I did get 16.5 mpg city. I'll know exactly when I get my scan guage.

yea I think Imma get 4:10 best of both world IMO but I just got told my 2.3l would have a hard time pushing 33" or higher with any gears I get ? What's you input on that?

Okay, no matter what it's not going to preform like stock with the tiny tires on it. Bigger tires and different gears your going to loose topend speed. And speed off the line because if the weight of the tires, the gears are to help with the weight an make it easier on the motor. I believe that with 4.10 and 33s that truck will be fine. I'm gonna run 33x12.50 with 4 inch lift. And I'm not gonna change the gears so it's staying 4.10. You can put 40s on it with like 6.92 (don't think actual gear, just example) and it will push it off the line but the truck won't get up to any kind of normal speed. If you do a lot of highway driving the 4.10 will be good. Keep the rpms lower then 4.56 would. But if your cruising city the 4.56 would be better. The 2.3 will be fine. They are stong motors. I personally wouldn't go any bigger then 33 unless you have a 4.0 or 5.0 motor.

I was gonna see about 35 but to much weight and that's wat I thought 2.3 will be fine with 33 Imma lift also when the money comes along but what you think mpg will be like with 4:10 and 33

If you want Mpgs stay stock. Don't change tires. My truck factory came with 215/70/14. Tiny wheels. When I got it it had the mts with 235/70 and then put on 31s and could tell the difference.

I mean as long as I'm around the 15 mark I'll be happy lol idk my tire size but I know it's around 28" and I get 20-27 depending on how I drive I can deal with anything that's about 15 lol
