BL meet and greet
Hey fellow Colorado members, figured i'd post this up to see what kind of responses I get.
I've been thinking about body lifting my Ranger. I want to do the work myself (obviously), and I want to try to get it done before the cold starts coming in. That really only gives a few months time. I want to be able to get new tires before snow, since my Goodyear Wrangler RTS's didn't quite satisfy my needs last winter. Plus my commute is much longer this year.
Few problems. I've never done one. LordofWar can help too, but he also has never done one.
Also, I have some basic tools...wrenches, basic ratchet set, exc. No air tools, air compressor, exc. If anyone has some tools we could use, that'd be great.
So, i'm posting this to see who would be willing to help. I'd have to ask my landlord if it would be ok to do the work here. I'm sure he would be ok with it, as long as we could get it done in a day. With a few of us, and some experience, i'm sure thats feasible.
I'd of course provide beverages and order some pizza for lunch.

Re: BL meet and greet
Try and get some air tools lined up and you will want some way of putting heat on the cab bolts. Other then that is not very difficult. However first time will always take the longest lol.

Re: BL meet and greet
I could come help depending on when you are doing it. I have a small air compressor, but no air tools. If someone has an impact wrench I have a set of impact rated sockets or just about any other tool you might need. Let me know.

Re: BL meet and greet
Thanks guys. It would probably be on a weekend. But if a week day would work better for others, i'm sure I could get a day off of work.
No exact date in mind. Do either of you have experience with putting on a body lift? I'm going to give this a couple more days to see if others commit then i'll order the lift. And from there we can all decide on a date. Like I said i'm flexible.
Oh, and Mike...fly out on help you bastard. LOL JK

Re: BL meet and greet
Doubt its that complicated, however I don't want to tear into it and come across a problem no one knows how to resolve. Would be easier if someone there had some previous experience in solving the same issues.
But, judging by this thread its looking like not many people are available. So i'll go ahead and purchase the body lift after I get paid on friday of next week. When it is delivered, i'll post up again and we can all work on a date for install.
Thanks again guys.

Re: BL meet and greet
Purchased the lift tonight. Summit says it will be delivered on monday or tuesday of next week...so Sept 12-13.
I've found a place to install the lift. My buddies house (LordofWar) said it could be done in his garage. And if we don't get done in one day, I can park it over night and finish it up the next day.
I was thinking the weekend of Sept 17-18th. Jake (LordofWar) might work that Sat however, so we might have to get it done on the 18th.
I've read two inexperienced guys can do it in 8-10 hours. So I figure the more the better. It would be a neat opportunity to meet some new members as well.
Let me know what you guys think.
