I hate having to drive hella far for meets and whatnot because of the gas money and the fact that i am just a poor college student. lol. well we need to do some bay area meets to first show off our rides and then eventually talk about doing a longer range trip to a really good offroad location. when i think of this i envision a caravan of Rangers on the highway going up north towards clearlake or further east towards Lake taho. I want to start a regular bi weekly meet and a monthly trail meet for us offroaders that want to do more than show off our cars in the parking lot or wherever else we are.

my idea was that the bi weekly meets are meant for everybody but focus on the street rangers and are for the offroad rangers to meet up and collaborate on off road trips and whatnot. I really want fishing to be a big theme for this too because i have seen a couple rangers in alameda with fishing rod holders on the side of the truckbed and a fighting chair in the center (kinda rediculous i know but you get my point) where the dude was just waiting for a shark to bite.

i also would like to have some ford ranger specific fishing trips. i feel like that would be pretty cool too. im a huge fishing buff, used to be semi pro, have a g-loomis tattoo, and i cant go a day without pretending to fish in my pool... lol. i have more money in fishing rods and reels than i spent on my "new" 94 ranger. i plan on making it into a fishing rigg for when i go on road trips and stuff (rod holders on the top of the campershell im getting, tackle boxes behind the rear wheel wells in the back of the bed, stuff like that) and i also plan on trying to teach as many people at these meets to fish, my favorite thing to do that has to do with fishing. lol.

lets hear your ideas. i want to make this work for everyone so we can get as many people in our area to participate as possible and eventually have an actual east bay area rangers club (EBARC) that specializes in all outdoor recreations (from fishing to racing) and is based off of the common ownership of our beautiful truck, the ford ranger, and its uses past being a utilitarian truck, like being a bad weather rescue rigg or being an ultra fast drag racer, and everything else that makes it more than just a truck to us...

Nice now you are talking my language, I drive to Walnut Creek almost every other weekend, I love the damn Container Store and them their fine young women, Hell I just spent $8500 on my garage/closet Elfa system from their. Let me know, because I will call you the next time I'm down in the Walnut Creek area, and as for fishing, I have just begun to really get into the sport for fun, I love being able to sit in a chair in the bed of my ranger fishing, kinda fun if you ask me. Lets get a ranger meet going soon at one of the free parking structures in walnut creek. theres a bunch of them and they are all really easy to find.

lets try to figure out a date that will work for the majority of us. i know im not going to be busy for a while s just let me know what dates would work and we can start voting on when and where.

i was drivin around in my ranger today for the first time and passed a couple public parks and some other good sized parking lots that nobody seems to ever be in that seem like better places than parking structures to have a meet. the one i was specifically thinking about is the park and ride on rudgear rd in walnut creek off of 680. if anybody is down for a little meet here in the next week or two post your name on the list i am about to make (copy, paste, etc.) and add a number with your name if there is no number there for you already....
