Hey stu, anywhere above 5k feet elevation is gonna be socked in with snow for a while still. But im always game for a logging road adventure too. There is one road called henness pass road it goes from just outside grass valley to just north of truckee I did it when I was a kid, its another fun logging road we could do once the weather is good.

Okay, the last meet was a kickass time, but I don't think I'm gonna come to something like this. Because either A: I'm not gonna bring my truck, or B: I'm gonna get stuck somewhere.

I'm not saying I'm tired of wheeling, cus it's fun as fuck. But it's not really something my truck is meant for. I just did at the last meet because it was mostly flat ground with just a little mud.

And hopefully soon, I'll be lowered so I'll have even bigger ground clearance issues.

Re: Norcal April Meet Brainstorm

just about everyone will aha..oh and i looked into camp grounds up 50 off ice house its called gerle creek campgrounds not the ones i was thinking of but but very close and next to a small lake but its only one vehicle per campsite :( and $22 a night which isnt bad but hopefully i can find the one i was looking for

ben10 03-14-2011 12:11 PM

Re: Norcal April Meet Brainstorm

Ouch the one vehicle per campsite hurts. We would need 7 or 8 campsites and that means an extra 20 bucks a person. What are those campsites out below icehouse?

Re: Norcal April Meet Brainstorm

yea we could do those as well i didnt look into those but i was doing it at 2 this morning lol but that trip isnt gonna be for awhile so ill keep looking into it
