Default Impossible to find manual 4x4 in cali

I'm looking for a manual 4x4 supercab XL or XLT and its damn near impossible to find one here in southern california. Initially I wanted a black 00-03 but have had to settle on any year any color to even hope to find a ranger.. A manual 4x4 shouldn't be this rare right? I've looked on every single used car site and am unable to find one within 500 miles that isn't 15k or more. I did find some across country but its really hard to justify flying there and not even knowing if its gonna be worth purchasing and then having to drive it 2000 miles back. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to continue my hunt? What's the best way to find what I'm looking for

Thanks for the replies man! Cargurus.com is the best used car site I've found so far and has given me the most options both close and far. After looking at your searches I'm really only able to find one truck that's reasonably priced and isn't a sidestep. Its the white one in AZ. The only problem is it doesn't have stock fender flares. I know thats a really small detail but its the main reason I'm looking for a xl or xlt is specifically for stock fender flares. Am I just being to picky? Very rarely do we know exactly the vehicle that we want and I am having a hard time settling.

This ones an hour from me but trucks around here typically are rusty after 10 years

My manual 2006 XLT with the FX4 factory chrome shifter. Harder to find the shifter than the truck!

The help is much appreciated! The one in Oregon looks good and price is good.. Only thing is they labeled it a manual but in the pictures its an automatic. Such a bummer. Your truck looks awesome tho man I'm jealous. Hopefully one day ill have my own

That thing is so clean.. Man I wish I could go out and purchase tomorrow I would lol. I just wish it was closer.. I have had some success on Craigslist yesterday in my area a few 90's models.. I'm thinking ill just keep an eye on there till something decent pops up. I found one that was literally perfect it was an 03 all blacked out tires and all, lifted in the front like I want with a grill guard AND 4x4 for only $4k.. Automatic... why me Lol how can people stand to drive automatics I just don't understand

Because we drive in shit rush hour traffic, and manuals just make them that much more miserable.

I don't care how good a manual is. They ALL are miserable when you go from 0 to 10 to 0 mph for a mile or two at a time, over and over and over.

Thats why you dont drive the 91...

But when I lived back in Cali since 09' I've always had a manual. Regardless of driving conditions its always more fun to drive "despite" some advantages that Automatics have.

Manuals have a lot of advantages too, for me the most effective is a $2,800 paperweight called an Auto transmission if it goes bad. Or if you just left the system on too long and killed the battery, push start is always an advantage. So is that ******* driver thats going to make you a part of their problem when they get rear ended, should they pull right up your ass.. i love letting the truck roll back and creeping it forward.. rolling back, and creeping it forward.

And most SoCal drivers get all schizo on you.. it fucks with their anti-depressants they may be strung out on.. lolz
