Hello neighbor from OC

Really depends on how extensive you want your inspection to be. I know Firestone usually does courtesy checks with their oil changes. Set tire pressure, check for nails, check battery, brake fluid, etc.

I could help you out depending on what you want to do. I can install a lift if you ever decide to lift it, and as far as maintenance I can do brakes, rotors, bearings, shocks, ball joints, coil springs etc.

It's all second nature to me at this point.

I mean if it isn't giving you any issues I would leave the fuel injectors. Just my opinion.

Spark plugs would be good to change, transmission fluid and oil I can do easily. Even the manual trannies take fluid to cool them and lubricate.

----------

Sometime this next weekend I'll be out in Norco/Mira Loma if you wanna meet up I can look over it a bit

A lot of things are fairly simple on these trucks, ive done all the small stuff on mine as well and only had experience with small 4 cylinder cars before this. There is a ton of information on here regarding the "typical" issues and also how to articles to adress them. I am in moreno valley (basically riverside at this point lol) if you ever need a spare set of hands to help you.

As far as the larger repairs or things you dont feel like doing, i take my truck to quicklane at raceway ford. They do a good job and are very professional.

I take mine there for oil changes usually and when i needed my clutch done and did NOT want to do it lol. They also have a credit card which was easy to get approved for. The manager has a ford ranger also and is a cool older gentleman, he has recommended things for me to do and was honest on the things that needed to be adressed but not immediately. Plus whatever they do will be documented that the truck was serviced at ford which is always a plus if you need/want to sell down the line.

That being said it is still pricey for some things, i usually call and see how much something will cost before deciding to take it there or do it myself. For example an oil change is $29, thats a few bucks more than i would spend to do it myself and dont have to bother with it... Its just an oil change, and they always use motorcraft parts. I had hem service my front brakes because my rotors were really bad, it was going to cost me about $186 to do them myself for pads and rotors, it was $185 for them to do it lol... A few weeks later out of curiosity i called about the trans fluid, and they wanted $150, there was obviously no way in hell lol, its maybe $30 to do it yourself.

But its good in a pinch if you dont have the time, sorry about the long post lol
