Re: ORW COIL-OVER CONVERSION KIT 98-Present RANGER 4WD/EDGE
Extremely disappointed that this kit no longer exists. I have been wanting to do coil overs on my truck for a long time now...... Guess i will just have to fab something up based upon the pictures unless anyone has an alternate solution...

I think you need to read the previous page again (see a few "highlight" quotes below). There is tons of information on the "other forum". I know, because I've posted all my coilover information in a few threads over there. The member over there is ME00Stepside, and he is still selling them.

Re: ORW COIL-OVER CONVERSION KIT 98-Present RANGER 4WD/EDGE
i can fab up the brackets no problem with my plasma cutter and sander, the question is, how much time am i willing to put into it v.s. just welding it to the frame and walking away!
Thank you for the information, i am going to PM naturecakezz right now!

Re: ORW COIL-OVER CONVERSION KIT 98-Present RANGER 4WD/EDGE
Anybody know why the kit was discontinued? Has anybody come up with a new kit yet? This is exactly what I need for my truck....
Not much news on the other forum....

Not blind, I saw that... I'm curious as to why the kit that seemed like it would be popular suddenly got discontinued... did ORW find a problem and decide to scrap it?
Also there are RangerForums and Ranger-Forums.. i think I may have finally found the latest thread in this kit saga. But is there beef between the boards as to why somebody cant just link over there?

2wd or 4wd...it won't matter. If you have torsion bars - this will eliminate them.
Just to clarify: Its main function isn’t as a lift kit or to obtain additional travel...it's really just for ride quality.

They, as in ORW doesn't make the kit any longer - but another person is making all the brackets and everything still.
A few posts back I give all the information needed....

So if I asked the member on the rangerform for just the welded mounts could I get my own shocks and springs and get more of a lift just like 4 inches instead of 2?

No, this isn't a lift kit - see my post from above....

It is possible to get about the height as a torsion bar crank - but's that's it.

Re: ORW COIL-OVER CONVERSION KIT 98-Present RANGER 4WD/EDGE
I cannot find one post by this member. It's like he doesn't even exist. I only found that his truck was nominated for truck of the month in August 2011 and that's all I found. There are a bunch of posts that refer to him though
