correct, this 5.0 came from a 97 explorer, i rebuilt it with an aftermarket rotating assembly, its .030 overbore so it 306cid, has ported aluminum heads, ported edlebrock manifold and a host of other go fast goodies

I think it would probably be easier to build a 2wd, mine has the awd transfer case in it until I can find a BW4406, I have both an electric shift and a manual shift BW1354, but I'm pretty sure this motor would just break them so I opted to use the awd for now and just left the front driveshaft out

that's cool as hell, it's a shame ford never offered a 5.0 in a ranger.

did the conversion require alot of cutting & hacking, or was it basically a bolt in job? ( i would assume with a v8 exploder as a doner vehicle)
