Your truck is absolutely amazing. I've actually seen pictures of it floating around on the internet before lol. Is it true that you removed the camo decal?

Yes I just removed it. There are two other trucks running around with camo like mine. So it's now time for change. How did you know I pulled it off?

From a guy named Casey.

Are you going to replace it with anything else or just leave it as is? That had to be a PITA putting on that decal then taking it off later...

Really nice! Did you have any issues w/ the 9" not having a VSS on it. I was going to use a 9" on mine but was told that w/o the VSS it would reap havoc on the puter and speedometer.
Now I can show everyone pics of how mine would look once I get the SAS done cause I too am using FS axles.

He really shouldnt. The VSS sensor is not on the rear axle on 01+ rangers. That is only for Pre 01. The only thing back there is an ABS sensor.

On pre 01 vehicles the speed is calculated in the ABS module, its all in the PCM on the 01+ versions. The speed is ran off the tail housing.

his is on the transmission, mine was on the rear axle so i lost my speedo.

you can't beat a 9", its got unlimited aftermarket parts. Up to 40 spline shafts, aftermarket housings, tons of aftermarket 3rd members, full float conversions, amazing ground clearance. I'll be keeping the 9" even after i get a D60 front. Not to mention that a stock FW 9" is more than strong enough for 99% of the ranger owners out there.

Thanks guys that is the info I was needing to know others had me wondering and confused and since I can not find a manual that covers the 02 and up here locally I was getting frustrated by all the back and forth on it. So since I got a 9" I will be using it.
