I searched at some local junk yards and found me a steel drive shaft it costed $107 after tax. My brothers winch was about 20 years old my step dad bought it when he bought the 86 f-150 new so i didnt have to pay for it. As for my buddies winch i have ripped a couple of bumpers off pulling him out before and just recently pulled his navijo on 35s out off a gully when he snapped his rear pinion gear and destroyed the front spider gears.

No doubt in my mind they are the worst set of tires i have run. The only reason i have them is because of a friend of mine gave them to me. We always made fun of him because he braged about how good those tires were But i cant count how many times we pulled him out because of them especially in places where we could go in 2 wheel drive and he would get stuck in 4. I ran them also because i liked the look of them but there rating on anything sucks unless you are on dry pavement lol

haha, i dont have a pic of it, but some numbskull got a Deuce-n-half (2-1/2 ton military truck) [may have even been a 5 ton truck) buried to the axle while i was at basic... the tires on those things are over 40" with duallies. The hole that we had to fill was huge! lol

I was stuck in the following pic only due to the fact that I just burned up my winch due the bumper lighting wires got hot and melted to the winch motor cause the short. If you look closely behind the truck you will see a Aspen tree about 4-5" diameter, this is the only thing that kept my wife and I from going over the side of the mountain.

Yeah it was in the snow (40 degrees) and my youngest son that is 19 was in shorts. The main reason I got stuck was 4"s of ice under the snow and I thought I was following another truck's tracks which turned out to be from an ATV.

Got the shop slut stuck today while parking the trailer. It's hard to see in the pic, but the rear tire was burried to the axle.
What it looked like after I pulled it out lol. Washed off the wind sheild then drove it back to the job site. Poor thing always gets put away wet.
