But then you have to worry about every little scratch ding and dent. That's how I felt with my last truck. Have been much happier in a beater, but I might be the minority on this one.

Ain't scurred. 2nd day with my Sierra.
It's a truck and I'm not DJ Fillman lol. Others have had good luck with clear 3m vinyl for paint protection, or spraying extra coats of clear coat. This is all hypothetical anyways.

Yeah getting the best of both worlds, a clean street truck and a truck you can enjoy mobbing in, is not so easy. At first I shuttered at each new scratch I was getting out in Cal City but eventually I just got the point where it is inevitable so I might as well enjoy my time to the fullest. Its a truck after all. I have been interested in that 3m clear vinyl though if it can take some abuse and not look goofy on the truck.

The only way I live with that tanner is the hope of getting glass in the future
So what kind of light should I get for a dust light? I kind of want to go for a clean look so I was thinking an led... and the high horse side of me that thinks I have all the money in the world says to get a Baja designs sII... I mean its for the safety of the person behind me so I can justify spending more money right?

Yeah safety of not only yourself getting rear ended but also the person behind you and the person behind them and so on.... SII would be sweet but where would you mount it?

Yeah and I feel like 180 is a cheap price for not getting a tube bumper to the back end. I didnt realise how nice it is to have one until the cal city trip.
I would test it through thr back window like yours, but I feel like there could be a lot of glare since those suckers are supposed to be pretty bright, if that didnt work id weld it on the bed rail by the cab.

I agree! not having to worry about it getting scratched or dented is the best!! i can park it in the first row at the store and not worry about it at all!!

I have been thinking of mounting a amber Rigid SR-Q flush mount in place of my third brake light. Light would be up high, look clean and it's a diffused lens so it should be bright and visible at most angles without being obnoxiously bright.

Re: Prerunner Enthusiast's Thread
We put a s2 in the tailgate of my buddies truck, You literally can not get any more of a clean/sleeper look.
If you buy one make sure to get double flood, he got a combo and the spot was annoyingly bright.
