4lo. I've been stuck in 2WD in some soft stuff and just put it in 4Lo and got out no problem. Helps having MT's, though.

sounds like it was time to loose a little air in those tires

sugar sand is where 2wheel drive is best if you air down for more traction and a bigger foot print and you'll go right on threw as long as you dont hammer on the fun pedal!

ya, i figured out that i needed to air down after i got stuck in those pictures lol, havnt been stuck in sugar sand since. the only problem is in florida you'll be going down a trail thats pretty packed and almost a dirt road, then all of a sudden, BAM! only sugar sand and your not prepared for it. lol.
STL-sugar sand-Sugar sand, found in some areas of the Eastern United States, is a fine silt made up of ultrafine mineral sand mixed with a large percentage of organic granules. Because of its lightness it can easily form quicksand in hollows. In New Jersey, quicksand is often referred to as "sugar sand." Even when dry, sugar sand tends to be too light to support motor vehicles.
and florida is made of all sugar sand. lol, building here is interesting
