Default I Finally Have Cluster Lights!

Finally had some warmer weather without all the rain, so I pulled the truck into the garage and replaced the bulbs in the cluster. No big deal, but sure makes a difference. Three of the bulbs burnt out a couple of years ago. I checked at the dealer right after it happened, and they were saying about $250 US to replace the bulbs. Took me about an hour and half with answering work emails and running the dogs out in between. I also pulled out the shop vac and cleaned back in there while I had everything pulled out. Not hard at all with the How-To on here to go by.

You can see all the crud that had accumulated behind there:

Got the cluster pulled no problem:

Everything back together:

Hasn't looked like that in years! I reckon I'll have to go LED next...

It is amazing how much crud can work it's way back there.

I need to replace 1 bulb in mine. Once you do it you get faster at it.

There is a how to with pics by STL under "how to". They give sizes for wrenches and everything!

Yeah, it's connected to the gear indicator. There are two tabs, one on either side. Push them in and that sucker pops right out of there. Pops right back in as well.

Here's the link to the how-to: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-t...placement.html It's spot on.

The bulbs are 194LL. You'll need six to replace all of them, which I recommend doing while you're in there.

194LL isn't that just sylvania numbering? LL meaning Long Life

194 is the basic number
