Beef! I ran one forever ago. The best one you can run with stock bulbs IMO. If anyone wants one, I've got 3 black mustang dome lights for sale...PM ME!!

The JYs around here have been pretty empty of whatever I go to look for lately. I'd be in luck if I still had the '90.

I would want one, but don't want to bother with the wiring.

Yeah, that was the good thing with the '02 - it's a straight swap with no extra wiring needed.

Something I might have to look into...

I think I have heard that some '04's, even though they have the crappy switchless and map light-less dome light, still have the wiring already in place. I thought I read somewhere that the wiring was still there until like halfway through the '04 production run. I guess that would be easy enough to check....

Should be. Just pop of the lens, unscrew the housing, and see if there are two wires there. The ground is the chassis.

On my 05, I had to run one wire...simple too. Taps into another wire that is behind the access panel on the driver's side dash. Hardest part was getting the screws on the dome light to line back up into the original holes.

You ran the wire through the headliner and A-pillar?

Yep. Just used a hanger to get over the headliner, have fishtape now so it is super easy.
