How much did it take to do the whole truck and how much did it cost. If you don't mind.

I used wire brushes, wire wheels, purple power then rinsed and dried.

Re: My truck & POR15
dont get brake fluid on it ..my dads rear end was coated in POR and some fluid got on it and it bubbled up..that area might not have been prepped right so that could of been the problem

Re: My truck & POR15
POR-15 SUCKS ASS!!!!!!! I used it on my leafsprings, used both their prep products they say you HAVE to use, followed all the instructions to a tee, and 2 months later it looked like total shit. Surface rust came back quick and the leafs started looking worse than they did before I painted them. Using a cheap electric pressure washer made it flake off like dead skin.
So I painted over it with some Krylon "Rust Tough" paint from the hardware store and 6 months later my leafs still look decent. And the Krylon has stood up to pressure washing just fine. For a fraction of the price. Screw POR15, I'm never using that garbage ever again and neither should you.

So how do you feel about POR15? lol
It's a little late for me so we'll see how it turns out. I'm not stopping though. Last year I stripped the entire frame and I asm prepping it now. I didn't need all the crap the recommend, as long as its stripped clean, and washed I think I'll be ok, if not, lesson learned. I appreciate your input though

Re: My truck & POR15
I think you should use a topcoat over it. Por-15 even makes one called "chassis coat black". Or you could just use hardware store paint like I did.

If it comes to that I will but right now I will finish it and see where it goes from there.
