Trip To Yakima
I left Monday night to travel from Aberdeen WA, too Yakima to watch one of my friends play in the WIAA 2A State golf tournament. I took a few pictures on the way there and the Ranger did great the whole way!
First picture is just after I left when I got on Highway 12.
Second picture is after traveling South, when I made the turn East to head towards White Pass.
Third picture is a really big lake that I went over.
Fourth picture is some of the hills and foliage in the Yakima area. A lot different than what I am used too.
Final picture is a really cool river/stream that I found on the way home.

Re: Trip To Yakima
AND THEN!!!!!!!!
An elk HIT ME!
I was driving home, came around a corner, about 150 yards away I saw an elk in my lane facing off towards the shoulder into the woods. I slowed down and it didn't move, so I went into the opposite lane BEHIND the elk, I was going 20 mph and right as I was passing the elk, it turned around and slammed the front of the Ranger!
Fortunately the radiator was untouched, and the airbag didn't deploy. I am able to drive it, but they headlights do not work, the bulbs are smashed and the housings are ruined.

Re: Trip To Yakima
No the elk was fine. At least, it didn't splatter, it ran off into the woods. When it hit me I was only going 20 MPH, it was still a solid hit though.

Re: Trip To Yakima
Well turns out I got a great deal on the parts from a local junkyard, got lucky too, same year same color so everything was an exact match. Had a little problem realigning the hood but it's taken care of now.
