Thanks TwinJetGuy! Yeah, seen one of those headers (don't seem right to call them "manifolds"!) in the junkyard a while back but didn't have a Ranger/Maz to put it on. Kept thinking I should have bought it anyway... Will check with my friendly FoMoCo parts guy on the pressure port deal. Noticed the odd 2" pipe to cat, 2.5" pipe to muffler, 2" pipe to tip typical Ford nonsense, think 2.5" all the way would help alot. After all the 5.0's love 2.5" pipes and they are twice the size if not twice the power as ours.
Bought my Maz in Clay county FLA. (Jacksonville area); if you saw underneath you would understand why they call it "Clay" county. Just caked and dried-on mud and dirt, even on the wheels. Don't think armor-all would put a dent in this stuff; even all-wheel cleaner gave up!
Re. the spacer: not sure $89 to $100-up is "cheap", (at least not to me!) but if you didn't notice a real improvement...
Read on one of your posts that you are not getting good mileage out of your Maz; did the Jet "chip" (programmer?) make a difference before or after or is it "switchable" between programs? Would hate to spend alot of money just to flush gas down the drain.
