As some of you may remember about five months ago I sold my '01 Ranger and bought an '04 Explorer 4x4. I liked it but it didn't fit my needs. I need a truck. I have been looking for a Sport Trac for a while and went to the dealership to look at one, but then saw an '01 Dodge Dakota 4x4... Saw it and that was it. Serves all my needs. Has a bed(5 1/2') and a quad cab. I needed to be able to haul people on occasion too.

Mods so far: Shorty Antenna, ScanGuage II, & a Jensen flip screen.
Specs: 01' Quad Cab, w/ 4.7 V8 Magnum, Spray in bed liner, 4wd.

The day i bought my ranger there was a 03 Dakota on my list of Trucks to look at. I started at the farthest lot from my house. Which happened to be where my ranger was. Twas a good thing though this was only 2 days after the storms that caused the Tornados in Alabama. The lot that had the Dakota was hammered by hail and damaged everything on the lot. Don't know why I just told you all that but, I like that style of Dakota.

thank god you have the 4.7 my bro had had the 3.9L in his Crew cab 2003 Dakota and it was slower then my 4 cyl sonata. Just keep an eye on your coolant system. My bro had a lot of trouble with his.

nice truck. those 4.6's sound great with an exaust system on 'em.

but definitly keep an eye on the front suspension. i've been told quite a few times they'll litterally fall apart, never beleived it 'till i saw one that fell apart in person. other than that they are fantastic trucks!

I may remove them one day and get the in channel visors, but it's just not high on the list right now.
I am not a firefighter anymore. I used to be and my Ranger would light up the night. That was one of my old stations. My dad still works out of there.

Exhaust(Dynomax), Tuner, maybe an intake, and I dunno what else, not much...
