hey i like the flag, especially the design, its not permanently attached. i dont care that some people think it has a bad meaning, and how is it immature?
and i dont think it matters what country i am in.
read the TRUE meaning of the flag it has nothing to do with racism, hate, or Slavery!!

I'm well aware of it's meaning......BOTH meanings....

It's one thing to have a sticker of it in your toolbox or back window. It's a whole nother having a 3x5' confedy flag hanging out of your truck. It's a controversial flag. You can't deny that. You're free to fly it if you want, but you also take on the complications that may arise to those who don't like seeing it...whom are also free to say anything they want about it. Flying it, you also assume the possibility of something negative happening towards you or the truck, but that's an extreme. But still a possibility.

Plus, at least for me, running that flag on anything is a fad that died soon as I got the high school diploma. So yes, I think it's immature.

IN ONTARIO CANADA!!?!?!???

i just think its disrespectful, it symbolizes a way of life that included slavery, to me its the same as flying the swastika

i know there is alot of contraversy with the flag the main reason i got it was the design, you cant say its a bad desing... like i said its not permanatly attached its more or less just for show. i like it from watching the dukes of hazzard, i still know the true meaning of it. but i just put it on to take a pic. dont even know if i will run it or not, dout i will because of the material its made of might tear or get ruined. i would rather a smaller flag to run.

also i live in a hick town where the flag is on several vehicles and we have our own general lee car that rides around town.

Where did you get those toolboxes? I kind of want some for my truck, but can't really find anything for it. Also, do you think that a normal toolbox would fit in front of the side boxes?

the side mount boxes come in 4, 5, and 6 foot lengths. mine are the 4 foot. so a regular toolbox should fit in front of them. i got mine through a keystone dealer. here's a website i just found they are a little pricy.
i got mine for $320.00 each but i buy all my truck stuff there so i get a little deal.

I always love this debate. I personally have a confederate flag bandana folded up and hung around my mirror, and I have the front tags with the two confeddy flags crossed. I have had them on ALL three of me vehicles I have owned. I've always hung a confederate flag in my bedroom, and even wear shirts with it on them. However, IT IS APART OF MY HERITAGE. I was born in the south, raised in the south, and live in the south. I am quite aware of the meaning "s" of the flag. As stated above ya'll fly the american flag or canadian flag on their designated days, I see no problem in flying a confederate flag, however it has no designated day.

Now that that is out of the way, what I do have a problem with is when the flag is flew with the intent to hurt.

I personally have black friends and always have, they know that I have no bias towards them that I only sport the flag bc it is my heritage. I am not racist nor have I ever been.

To the OP, yes I think that its wierd that a Canadian is flyin it, but at the same time, I admire it. He is not doing it out of hate or anything. It is no different than sportin the american flag on july 4th....end rant
