And Mike, that reduced power problem is most likely due to the electronic throttle body (since you're driving a one ton, I assume it's the massive 8.1 liter). Pretty common problem with those big guys. Apparently it's a problem on all the Vortecs, but I haven't heard of it being a problem in the half tons...mostly trail blazers and the bigger trucks.
Hey Jimmeh:
It also used to have a relatively long delay when you touched the throttle to when the injectors were told to inject. When I first got it, I would always stall trying to start out on a hill from a red light. The Tech at the dealership updated the computer to reduce the delay but GM would not eliminate it. The "Low Engine Power" mode cannot be removed and I just have to live with it he said. I don't think its the 8.1 liter cause the torque isn't there to just let out the clutch from idle and 4wheel high just gets bogged down too easy.

[QUOTE=LoJosRanger;539347]Here is my work truck. It's a 2011 F250 Super Duty 4x4 6.2 flex fuel. Yesterday I installed a hypertech tuner primarily to remove the stupid 80 mph governor. I also put the chrome fender trim on and I know a lot of guys here hated it on my Ranger. Let me know what u think of it on my 250. If you hate it feel free to say so.

Hey LoJo:
It would be cool to have a Ford at work. The reg cab though so small for as big a truck as it is. We have some and you cant put the seat back far enough and recline so you don't have to sit straight up bent in half. We insist on extended cabs but...

That's bull shit that you just have to live with it. There are a few ways to fix it and if that tech can't figure it out, then I'd suggest a different dealer. A lot of times, the whole throttle body has to be replaced or even just the wiring harness under the dash. I'm just saying, your company doesn't have to have an underpowered truck with that Chevy since it's a common problem that the dealerships know about (or at least they should).

Just read another suggestion on a Chevy Forum...how old is the battery? Apparently when they start to crap out, the truck will put itself in that mode to save the power in the battery. Never heard of it myself, but I guess it's another common problem

Never have, and probably never will. Although I do try to wash my current work truck once a week. Only because Whoever takes better care of their truck is gonna get first dibs, when we get a new one.

It's not ever gonna be that clean, but it looks better than any of the other service trucks. The Electricians, and PM guys don't count since they don't actually do any work to get dirty. lol
