From my understanding it looks like it is for all 4WD Rangers from mid '00 and up. You could always try and get in touch with the guy that wrote the thread and see if he knows.

I dont understand why you guys want to down grade your trucks. Those hubs suck ass, they only use cheap plastic tabs to snap on. I'm glad I converted my '00 to live axle

----------

If it's for fuel mileage, you are barking up the wrong tree. I saw no difference in mpg going to live axle from the lockouts

Well I'm at a loss on mileage regardless I only get about 9 in mine lol. I actually want a solid front axle with manual lock outs like my old bronco had but that's a far future swap.

I usually don't hammer down unless grandpa decides to do 15 mph down our back road. But it's the toyo m/t and the 4.10 gears and the lights causing drag that add up to less lol. When it was totally stock I never got better than 16 highway. Now I get 12 if I keep it at 65 and make it shift at 2500

I know this sounds strange, but if you're crushing at ~45 or so in say 4th and you're turning 2300 rpms, dont shift to fifth. Gas mileage will go down if you do. If you're crushing stay in the 2100-2500 rpm range. For some reason the 4.0s like that for gas mileage.

I'll have to give that a shot. I just put a bicycle brake tension in on my throttle cable to take the slack out and it shifts so much better now. I'm noticing it likes to hover at 2300 without going into overdrive.

Yes against my better judgment she's the auto lol. Soon as it goes out though I'm converting to manual. That'll get me significantly better mileage.

It is either in limp mode or you drive bad.
