I don't drive that much so it would be like 6 months and I could just touch it up then. I actually have a complete spare front bumper/valence.

Re: That didn't work out..........
I just did my color match and I am waiting on it to dry but until then a buddy of mine did a proper P-chop. This is the end result. I'll have to take it out tomorrow for a shoot and see if it looks decent. I used my spare valence do to it.

Re: That didn't work out..........
I think the grill and the valance painted would look perfect. or just the valance. either way it looks awesome!

For some reason it doesn't feel right with a chrome bumper. He should paint that too.

Re: That didn't work out..........
I guess I would have to see it in person.
IMO this valance and grille (minus the red bug guard and headlights) looks awesome.
You are trying to get your current truck to this setup, or something similar, correct?

Re: That didn't work out..........
Na, I've already done that. Just never been happy with the grey on the truck. I finished the valence and swapped it over so when it gets daytime I'll be able to tell if I like it.

Re: That didn't work out..........
my vote is for a chrome grill, chrome bumper and red valance, i think it will look classy and timeless, not something you might get tired of looking at

I respect your opinion, but resent that you can tell "I" painted it from a low contrast dark picture. It has perfect finish, high gloss and you can see tomorrow. I've been painting these trucks for 14 years I don't do amateur jobs.

Re: That didn't work out..........
Oh I don't doubt the finish is there man, no disrespect at all, its just looks out of place with the red down there. I'm telling ya, the missing "pop" is the chrome surround being painted and the valance back to black.
I'm nit saying the paint.finish look cheaps, it just looks out of place is all. I can tell u know how to pai t the way the grille turned out

Re: That didn't work out..........
The 1994 XLT I did that looked like my 97 had the full matched front end. ALL red. It's the one with the fog light front valence in the pics I posted. I was very pleased with it, and have been there and done that. Problem is that my 99 I traded for this XLT was a SPORT with no chrome. I can't in good conscious downgrade an XLT, especially with XLT options (chrome mainly) being non existent on the newer trucks. It's what made the 3rd gen great. If you didn't have chrome you had an XL.
