Out of work 2 weeks go to the Dr. next Thursday on my birthday

Cant drive till after then. This neck collar is about to go flying out the door

Our insurance man came by didn't call he freaking came by to see me which was cool. Said by Thursday we should have a 2K dollar check from them for this. Which makes no sense why they are giving me money when it was not my fault.

I was under the influence of codeine so wife will have to explain it to me

Don't cash that check... You need more like 5-10k for a serious neck injury+ work compinsation+med bills

Default Update 10-27-09

$1,053.15 total to be fixed

Had to set the guy straight with the insurance company that I was going to go with a place I know and trust.
He said Monday that the bumper brackets could be heated and straightened out and reused. I told him if that happened I would be sending it back to their shop. That prompted me to go to a place I know

Just make sure you don't get stuck being out two weeks wages because some ****ing ricer driver is an idiot.

Look after your neck too, I've got a couple of "walked off" neck injuries that are giving me beaucoup problems now I'm old and decrepit. Can't hardly turn my head without hearing popping/crunching sounds...... So make sure you get ALL the care/docs you need man.

General question for everyone I know they will pay medical bills and lost wages they told me that. Question is they said I would also be paid for pain and suffering. How do I go about figuring what I think is a fair amount?

I got a number in my head but I dont wanna say it then they jump at it cause it is low and they think they got off easy

Go high but stay sane. Worse they can do is offer less, especially with a clear cut case like this. Just don't let them BS you, they DO NOT want to go with a jury of bored people who probably all loathe their insurance companies for dunning them every month.
