Default Installed my cab lights!

Got my cab lights installed and wired up, these lights are from recon, they are the slimmer lights with smoked lenses from a 03-07 dodge ram

Very cool man! And yeah, I bet they do look even better in person! I think its cool that you went with the "smoked" ones. To me, it makes it look even better than just having the regular ones! It gives them that blacked out look that goes very well with the the rest of the truck.

Install was very simple, this diagram that 878ranger878 made really helped me out for spacing... (i put my lights an inch closer to the front of the truck though)
his diagram can be found here, thanks 878ranger878 Cab light install template

as for wiring, with the kit i bought it could not have been simpler, the lights just plug into the harness (connect the black ground wire with the o-ring on it to the support bar on the roof (i used the same ground spot as i have for my OHC ground wire) and the long green wire is your power, i connected the green wire to my switch and then ran another wire (only thing i needed that was not included with the kit) from the switch to the battery...

Oh one more thing, i read this on the instructions AFTER i had the lights installed, the bulbs are L.E.D and they are polarity sensitive (meaning there is only one way the lights can go in.... the instructions suggest that you connect one light at a time and test that it is in the right way... it says if you do not do this that if more than one light is connected the wrong way that you could blow a fuse on the truck (i read this after and when i tested all 5 at once, 2 lights did not light up so i switched them around and everything worked fine, maybe i just got lucky in not blowing a fuse but it is just a precaution on the instructions)

Any other questions, feel free to ask
Thanks A Lot for the great compliments!

Here is a link to the kit i bought
