Default Trucks Stripped!

Well as some of you know im painting the truck and trying out some body work since i've never done it before. Plan is Jet Black with Metallic sprayed over it and as much clear as i can put on. Anywho onto some pictures.
I kept getting a Breeze down my pants and i kept ripping them so i Duct Taped them up so i wasn't gettin to chilly.

----------

Finished primering and laid down the first base coat and then ran out of paint (fail) theres still some areas i need to go and knock down and finish the bed up (pain in the ass) also picked up a 11 gallon air tank to aide with the compressor and make what was once a 5 gallon compressor into a 16 gallon compressor works so much better now and has more air to give me more blows on the impact if i need them.

Killer look so far. I had an old '84 toyota I tried to paint myself...you're doing a hell of a lot better job than I did!

Thanks this is my first time painting and trying out some body work. Its not going to be the most perfect paint job ever but i wanted it all to match.

Welp finished Color Coat on the cab and bed and layed down the Clear Coat these past couple days. I figured since i had the bed off that i should replace my rusty shocks that were on there since the ones i had originally had been on there for a long long time (since i've owned it at least. 5 years approximately) Reinstalled the bed and pulled the truck back into the garage for the night. Hopefully tomorrow i can start reassembly but i want to make some mounts for my foglights first gotta find some scrap metal that i can weld up. Anywho onto the pictures. And i know its not perfectly straight there are some dents but it'll do the job for now.

Ahhh pretty cool dude. I miss the days of rattle can painting my cars. I've certainly had my share of "no clear coat required" paint jobs .

The last thing I rattle canned was my '50 Pontiac in 2008.... of course it was a tail dragger and flat paint was a requirement.

Beats paying thousands for a paint job and its a good project to work on when your bored. I'll have some more pics after i assemble everything. Might make my foglight mounts before i put the bumper back on. We'll see.
