How much would did you end up splitting? My dad and I just split close to four cords a couple of weekends ago, and it would still be sitting around if I hadn't rented a splitter, lol. How big is that splitter?
I got a small pile going, once its all split I am going to stack itto dry it quicker. The splitter is 22 Ton Huskee I got from TSC. Here is the pile I got started.

I use a woodstove for heat in the winter, The electric heat is way too expensive. I used to split my wood by hand but it takes so damn long! I got the splitter to save time and it actually saves me alot of money too. I get logs delivered by the truck load for just 100.00!
