Default Last time on the ice 4-2

Looks like ice truckin' is done here in MN, the landings arer getting pretty bad.
I got through the landing ok on the way out, but then didn't see the ruts that were partially froze over with a little snow covering them up. So I got stuck good and had to be pulled out by a friend with a Chevy!

Once out there, driving was good, just like a big parking lots, but I decided to get off and park on dry land because the sun was getting hot and the landing was going fast! I wish I had a cameraman when hitting the ramp I made a good splash!
The chevy sayed out a couple of hours and I got to ride in with him after fishing, I sure was glad mine wasn't out there as the ice had pulled out quite a bit and we went through water that was almost up to his lights, probably woulda drowned my mule lol!

Being a southerner, I am just blown away when I hear about folks driving on ice. I gotta wonder, how often does it happen that someone misjudges the thickness of the ice, and next thing he knows, his vehicle is sitting on the bottom of the lake?

Ice driving is hella fun. Specially when your driving a full size tractor on a frozen river to pull out a F150 thats stuck on said ice.

I also should have said it sounds like a whole ball of fun, too. The slippin', slidin' part, AND the "I could be swimming in very COLD water at any moment" part, too!
