Default Auto Swap Meet Success

I finally got a chance to go to my first Auto Swap Meet this past weekend and although the selection of items they had for sale really sucked I DID come home with a success story, got some very nice seat covers for free, AND made money in process!

After spending an hour highly disappointed that I paid $8.00 to park for this crap event I was just about to leave when I ran across a really nice set of seat covers priced at $75 for the pair. As I struck up a conversation with the seller we got to talking about a lot of things, one of which somehow turned into revealing that I was a professional photographer. As luck would have it the guy has a daughter who they are trying to get started in modeling and they have been looking for a photographer to do her portfolio. I pulled up my photography website on my cell phone and showed him samples of my work. He loved them! I offered to take the price of the seat covers off the deposit if he was willing to pay the balance of the deposit right then and there to hold the shoot appointment. He went off, talked to his wife, came back, and paid the entire deposit in cash! So I now have a very nice set of seat covers, got them for free, AND made some money and business all at the same time!

SUCCESS!

ha! I actually found a set exactly like those at the good will store. They had a neon orange strip tho that plugged in to the 12v. I didn't like them tho, they are ment for skiny folks, it just did not feel right with the big poof things on the side

You are exactly right about them being made for skinny people! And even though I AM skinny you'd have to be a toddler to fit in the between the "puffs"! I have no idea who designed these things, but they must have either been drunk or really really tiny! So, the first thing I did when I got home was take half the padding out of all the pads which made a huge difference and now fits my ass very comfortably! I also did not like the neon light thing AT ALL so I immediately cut it out and sewed them back together without that god awful freakin pimpy flashing light thing! Believe me I realize they are probably not worth $75, but I got them for free, made $150 for the deposit right then and there and will be making another $600 on the photo shoot in April. I can deal with them being way over priced for that deal and I really like the way they look!
