It's $50 per week, $120 per year at Oregon Inlet. And get caught being stuck on the beach without all the required equipment(shovel, strap, etc.) and you get a fine when the rangers have to come pull you out. The soft sand is fun. I never aired my tires down while driving on it. You just have to keep a little speed. Nothing 4HI and a heavy right foot doesnt fix.

It still ain't worth 50 dollars week. Its too regulated to have any sort of fun. Ill stick with Corolla. At least in Corolla, when your out of 4wd it feels as if the sand is soft and there is some fun when you hit the soft spots.

When you're driving 6hrs to spend the week in OBX it's worth the fun. And I ran in 2wd most of the time. Just made sure to keep my speed up. If I had to stop I switched into 4hi just to stay out of trouble.

For me it aint just because Corolla is 45 minutes away where Oregon inlet is about an hour and a half depending on traffic. I would enjoy going down just to try it but I would rather spend 50 dollars in gas to Corolla then 50 to get to Oregon inlet and 50 to get on it. Both are great beaches and great vacation spots, but for a local, I rather go to Corolla. Im about the same way when driving on the beach. Ill keep her about 20-25 and ill speed up when I hit a soft spot.

YZ! Even though this was taken almost a year ago, basically hasnt changed at all since then. However now there is a huge circular crack in the windshield thanks to a particularly nasty windstorm
