Default Headlight Mod

So this weekend I spent a couple hours playing with the headlights. Following the excellent directions provided by STL, I went ahead and did the headlight mod. No problems, and I learned a little from the experience too. Onto the pics!

Pics aren't great, I know. I plan to snap a couple at night with the lights on and I'll see what I can do for another daytime shot if I've got the time. The changes aren't too dramatic, but it does look different and I'm certainly pleased with the results for the cost.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

And @ STL: all I had to pay for was the can of spraypaint. I was in luck, my dad had some clear silicone laying around the garage.

If there's one regret, it's that I left the edges around the corners white. I was afraid the silicone might be less useful if there was paint in the crevices where the two pieces meet. But thinking back on it, it probably wouldn't make a difference at all. Ah well...
