yeah i def. over did it, i swamped it once but shut it off before it locked, the engine seized going down the highway, internals were clean but as you can see the outside was nasty, gonna try to avoid that with the new motor
i've been in some deep snow, but it was dark and no one had a camera so all i could do was take pics the next day, maybe this winter

^^Exactly my thinking with my new motor Gearhead. I too receently replaced my engine because she swallowed 4 gulps in the past, i found caked mud under my intake, plus those god damn timing chains went nuts on me.

i haven't torn the whole v6 down yet, oil was always changed at 3000 miles though and always came out clean, my dad actually told me to put it in his car when i drained it out of mine (no i didn't actually do it), i did find out why it locked up though, the teeth on the cam position sensor/synchronizer were totally wiped out, so since it was no longer spinning it stopped driving my oil pump, i was in the left lane and before i made it to the shoulder of the highway it had already breathed its last breath, not sure why those teeth wore out so bad, the sensor was a little stiff when i turned it, but it had been sitting for over a year at that point

Pretty common problem in those 3.0's if not taken care of in time...
