Default Just another small mod - stereo

Small mod that makes a HUGE difference!

Stock Stereo - UGH!
Single disc CD player - Paint peeling off seek and tone buttons - 6 presets

New Stereo - Much better!
CD/SD card/AUX IN/USB stereo with removable faceplate - 12 presets

VR3 - Only paid $65.00 for it 3 years ago and used it in another car. Eventually I want a touch screen stereo, but this will do for now and is way better than the stock.

I have the CD/Cassette version of the stock stereo in my truck.

I think you "upgraded" in terms of features you wanted... but the internals of your stock radio were made by either Bose or Pioneer, depending on the manufacture date of the radio unit. I wouldn't consider a VR3 to be an upgrade over a Bose or a Pioneer, in terms of audio quality.

LOL That's why I didn't say "upgrade" I said modification. I wanted something that looked good and had more options and it sounds GREAT, so I'm happy.

that's true, Kat... you said "mod". Myke is the one that said 'upgrade' and needs an audio education.

anyway... glad you're happy with your new toy! enjoy!

The USB is mainly what I wanted. I can have a whole collection of cd's all in one little flash drive. Makes it really nice.

64GB Kingston HyperX MAX 3.0 External USB Flash Drive. Cost me about $190, but I have A LOT of CD's! I originally purchased it to use for my photos for easy transport to photo shoots, but found it wasn't necessary once I got a Western Digital My Passport External Hard Drive for my photography business.

Good choice, I love western digital. I have a 1 TB external drive and 640 GB portable one.

No doubt. I love WD. I have one with all my movies on it hooked up to my HD TV with the Western Digital HD TV Media player. It's so cool. No more DVD's to have to find room for!
