Default Mustang's replacement

Here it is it's a 1998 GMC Sonoma with the 2.2L/5spd has 143k miles on it and runs good. Might have to do a clutch on it soon, but that's cheap so I'm not worried. I also got $6k out of the deal which was the amount of cash I was looking for with a trade so I'm pretty content with the deal, but I am going to miss that car a lot! Goal though is to have another by summer of next year. Anyway onto the pics.

Why did you want another vehicle to replace the mustang. 4 others not enough?

Eh I like s10's and sonoma's. Not as much as rangers, but enough to have it in the fleet.

Dont drive the fusion much its my mom's mostly and I want to keep the miles off the ranger/f150. So the sonoma will do the trick. Also I dont have 4 other vehicles. I sold the bmw to a buddy who needed a car bad. he was buying my old ranger, but financial troubles set him back so I'm getting it back and selling it.

Wrong i didn't say I didn't have time to drive it. I choose not to drive it all the time because it was a weekend toy mostly. I decided to sell it so that I could use the money towards my wedding/honeymoon/school. I drove the mustang a few times a week, but mostly on the weekends. It was just an expendable vehicle.

Nothing major right now. I am going to swap in a steering column with tilt. Get rid of the bench seat for something better. Tint upgrade the stereo and maybe slap some different wheels on it. Other then that it'll just be driven and maintained.

Pretty horrible for what they are. Mom had a 2.2 in her Cavalier, and that thing cost the same in gas as my Ranger does. I'm glad we offed that ugly piece of sh...evrolet.

WOW, really? I've read that the those Vortec 4.3's get better mileage than our Vulcan.

that im not surprised by. the 4.3 vortec is a great motor, my wifes POS blazer will knock down 22 MPG all highway, but its a turd in every other category. lol the motor is the only good thing about her blazer, other than the fact that it pisses coolant from somewhere ive yet to be able to determine. lol

Yes. The MPG's probably beat our 3.0, but I still put the same amount of gas twice a week in my Ranger as I did the Cavi. And I even go more places with my Ranger than I did the Cavi. However, the Cavi was very poorly maintained, partially because I hated it, while the Ranger gets the best of everything including weekly maintenance checks, so that has alot to do with it.

I think GM's in general are better on gas than ford. Please don't take this as Ford bashing, I LOVE Fords!! I've asl read that the GM 3.8 even in bigger cars like Lesabres, Bonevilles, 88's etc. get slightly better mileage than a Vulcan Taurus.

Guy says he's been getting around 25mpg in it. We'll see how it goes.

I have plenty of reliable vehicles and I've had good luck with s10's/sonoma's. I'm not asking you to understand, but I sold two vehicles and got one in trade to daily and save the miles on my other two trucks.
