My Ranger caught on fire :[
yeah :/
this is the damage VvV
my truck, and $1,200 in stereo equipment is now gone :c
it wasnt electrical. the truck was slipping in and out of gear, and then it caught on fire.

i have no idea what the cause was.
but i doubt it was the trans,
because the fire was in the engine compartment

yeah :c i was devastated.
it went up really really quick.
it started smoking, so i pulled over and popped the hood,
and BOOM appeared a wall of 2 foot flames :/
started right up near the fire wall

in my 86, a bad o ring caused a fuel leak, causing a fire, we were lucky enough that someone seen it in his work truck and ran over with his fire extinguisher

yeah someone ran up with a fire extinguisher,
and put it out, but it started right back up a second later, and got alot worse

Sorry to hear about your loss man.
If the trans was slipping in and out of gear, you may have been dumping trans fluid out of a line. Any of that gets on the exhaust manifolds and you end up with what happened to you.
