Thanks Diablo!!..
STL... I'm thinking that they are original to the truck... So 87,000 miles on them unless the previous owner changed it. He had it for the first 25,000 miles so I don't know if he did or didn't, I know we haven't changed them till now.

Re: Changed My Rear Brakes... Took some pics...
I just took mine to the stealership for this along with replacing my broken parking brake line. My rear brakes were toast....bone stock, 12 years and nearly 150,000 on them. So much stuff was broken in the backing plate they weren't even functional. It feels great to have some stopping power again! lol

not everyone has the know how or even knows someone who will do it, not to mention the yards around here suck and i would never find a mustang or explorer new enough to even have disc brakes in the back. Just servicing the stock parts was a huge upgrade in braking performance

Re: Changed My Rear Brakes... Took some pics...
yeah my brother in law is a jack of all trades so he did them for me. i didn't even think about after pics. they just look the same except the shoes were black and unbroken and there were colored springs.
alls we did was take the drum off and look at everything to remember where it goes and try to get it back exactly the same. we took pics incase we couldn't remember how everything went. he has a drum/shoes replacement kit with all the tools that are needed for the job which turned out to be very handy! i'll try to do a "how to" but not sure how good it'll be without in the process pics.lol

Well I think when I hit a patch of black ice when stopping on a highway exit ramp last week that it busted them, because they haven't worked right ever since then.
