Default Oops!

Truck snags a low hanging telephone cable. The cable is laying behind the cab in front of the fifth wheel. Hard to see but the remainder of the cable is laying in the road on the other side.

At least it only took down a phone line. The fun really starts when 100kv transmission lines come down with it too!

I didn't know what else to name it!

I think he must have backed up and the line caught on the top cab faring.

Yea, It was a good thing it wasn't the power line. The driver of the truck said that too.
It took a long while for the police and phone company to arrive.

Or more likely, the phone company's equipment and wires were hanging to low. It's not the drivers fault.

And we all love the bills from our phone companies!!! Truckers bring all the goods we need, including food, to where they go. Look at that truck..the average height and with nice aerodynamics from the cab to the trailer. It is outrageous that this happened..the phone line being neglected so long that it hang low enough to do this.

They were and no it wasn't his fault. He was no doubt ticked that it happened though. Maybe the company he works for doesn't reprimand him or anything.

That reminds me of another phone cable just up the highway from me hanging so low that it looks like I could reach up and touch it. That one is down now due to the highway widening project going on now.
