yeah that owner definitely swapped his out for one. And it looks like he took the entire Expo gauge and slapped it on the Ranger without taking it apart to use the Ranger housing. Which would explain why it didnt fit yours.

The silver plate doesn't fit our housing because the plastic rim of the plate has a notch that's in the wrong location for the ranger hvac housing... Its only off by about 1/4". I was thinking of doing what you did but instead I used pliers to chunk off some of the plastic from the rim of the silver plate, making a big-ass notch...After doing that it fits perfect
