Re: Lets see your Ranger loaded up!
760lbs of HD Heritage Softail:
Drove to Greensboro NC on Thursday 5th, then rode the rest of the way to Florida. Picked the wife up at Miami airport, spent a few days in the Keys and then spent an evening in Daytona Beach for Bike Week on the return.
Hit a snow storm going through WV but had lots of traction with the bike in the back (and winter tires...)
The rear wheel depressed the plastic liner on the tailgate, but I used a motorcycle scissors jack/platform to lift up the rear of the frame and take the weight off the tailgate while I was driving.
Rode her up the ramp - used extra tie downs in parallel to the tailgate cables. I also used these tailgate lowering links: http://www.ridertailgate.com/product...-Link-Set.html to lower the end of the tailgate and minimize the breakover angle.

Speaking of squatting under load, does anybody run any airbag helper springs? And if so, what brand?

Re: Lets see your Ranger loaded up!
I have the Timbren Aeon rubber springs (on the rear).
With loads, the rear-end gets level, but no drooping -26 sheets of drywall (1,170lbs):

Re: Lets see your Ranger loaded up!
After I loaded it up to ride last weekend!
----------
And a couple funny pics with our toy hauler. This was only with maybe 1/2 of the trailer's weight applied. The trailer has flipped axles to help match my dad's powerstroke which is lifted. So just lowered this much, the trailer hitch looked like it was gonna pop off the ball.
Shit quality though. My phone doesn't like low lighting pics.
